Energy Modernization and Climate Change Technology

The tools necessary to mitigate climate change and make our energy systems cleaner and more efficient go well beyond solar, wind and biofuels. PublicGen supports CleanTech system installations that augment larger public and private utility-level programs. These technologies include:

  • Hybrid solar-fuel cell distributed energy

  • Combined Cooling, Heat and Power (CCHP)

  • Small wind

  • Opportunity fuel

  • Hydrogen refueling units

These systems almost always integrate with a prior efficiency program and usual require a financing plan to facilitate first cost. Many of these technologies are best facilitated through public subsidies and have relatively long sales and installation cycles.
